SILVA EXPEDITION-360 GLOBAL COMPASS

The compass comes with a tilt card and a distance lanyard. The slope card is excellent for both detecting avalanche risk and determining how challenging your trip will be. By knowing the slope, you can also judge any additional distance you need to go because of the slope. The distance cord has two scales; 1:25 and 1:50, which makes it easy to measure the distance of your walk. Since it is soft and flexible, it is easy to place it directly on your route on the map.
Expedition Global features DryFlex™ grip for easy handling, a clinometer to measure slope angle and comes with a built-in adjuster for magnetic declination. It also has measurement maps in mm, inches, scales of 1: 25k, 1: 40k 1: 50k and GPS scales. The base plate has a curved back for a perfect fit in the hand, magnifying lens and rubber friction feet for precision map work. The various arrows and scales/markings in a clear contemporary font combined with a lot of transparency on the base plate make navigation easier: when activated in the light, the luminous markings and the graduation ring allow night navigation. The red/black north-south lines on the bottom of the capsule ensure easy and secure seating. The needle is made of the finest Swedish steel with high quality magnetic characteristics.
