The compass comes with a tilt card and a distance lanyard. The slope card is excellent for both detecting avalanche risk and determining how challenging your trip will be. Since it is soft and flexible, it is easy to place it directly on your route on the map.
Ranger Global features DryFlex™ grip for easy handling and comes with a declination scale for use anywhere inside the capsule, a magnifying lens, and baseplate map measurement in mm and scales of 1: 25k, 1: 50k. The base plate is curved at the back for a perfect fit in the hand. The red/black north-south lines on the bottom of the capsule ensure easy and safe seating. The various arrows and scales/markings in a clear contemporary font combined with a lot of transparency on the base plate make navigation easier: when activated in the light, the luminous markings allow night navigation.
