Orientation is fundamentally a matter of map reading. This is the key to the success of high-level guidance. But for Michel Gueorgiou, crossing all types of terrain, without errors, while reading the map, can only be achieved with specific, regular training that combines map reading and running. These trainings, practiced regularly by their training groups, have been the basis for great results at the international level. Hence the title of the book “The Winning Eye”. In these chapters, the author sets out his system, which he has called the Saint-Etienne training method.
