New and improved STICKYGRIP™ rubber outsole: Inov-8 has reformulated its STICKYGRIP™ rubber for the second generation of the MUDTALON™ series. The new formula offers the same reliable grip and even improves upon it, with increased slip resistance on wet surfaces compared to the V1 MUDTALON™ series. From thick, soft mud to treacherous wet rocks, Inov-8’s new STICKYGRIP™ formula is more reliable than ever.

Aggressive 8-mm knobs: The hallmark of the MUDTALON™ series is its aggressive 8-mm knobs. They offer excellent traction off the beaten path and give you the confidence you need to tackle steep climbs, descents, and even the muddiest swamps! Thanks to their length, MUDTALON™ knobs can penetrate even the thickest mud and dig right back in for more.

New and Improved POWERFLOW PRO Midsole: With the new generation of MUDTALON™ shoes, Inov-8 has taken the opportunity to further improve the POWERFLOW PRO midsole. This super-lightweight foam offers a high level of cushioning while providing the ground feel needed for running on uneven and technical terrain. We’ve also made the foam slightly firmer to extend the shoe’s lifespan.

META-PLATE Rock Plate: Between the midsole and the outsole of the MUDTALON™ V2 is a flexible META-PLATE rock plate. This protects against sharp or hard objects underfoot, while the plate’s flexibility ensures you can continue to move your foot naturally even on technical terrain.

NATURALFIT™: Inov-8 shoes provide a snug fit in the heel and midfoot for a secure stride. They feature a wider toe box so your toes can spread out and move naturally. This allows you to feel the terrain better and reach your full natural potential.

The MUDTALON™ V2 features a durable, quick-drying upper with a MET-CRADLE overlay that secures your foot in the heel and midfoot when you tighten the laces. Available in a precise, narrower fit or a roomier, wider fit, the V2 flares out at the toe box to allow your toes to spread. The MUDTALON™ V2 is the perfect shoe for covering long distances on challenging, muddy surfaces, offering the optimal combination of grip, cushioning, and ground feel.
