\nThe VJ Lightspeed is an ultralight running shoe developed with elite trail runners with the goal of creating the world’s fastest trail running shoe.<\/p>\n
It features our new SuperFOAMance midsole, which is made of high-tech, ultra-lightweight, nitrogen-infused material that offers extreme cushioning and energy return. This new foam is a modern, supercritical foam that is lighter, more reactive, more comfortable and more propulsive than traditional EVA foam. Compared to other foams, SuperFOAMance is more durable and does not tear as easily.<\/p>\n
The midsole is topped with a branched composite plate that pushes the runner forward like a spring would. The reason the plate is branched is to provide lateral flexibility to optimize balance on uneven and constantly changing terrain.<\/p>\n
Lightspeed features VJ’s famous Superior Contact sole made of butyl. Rubber compound, offering the best grip on the planet on any terrain.<\/p>\n
The upper is a lightweight, breathable and durable one-piece upper that conforms to the foot like a sock, while still offering sufficient support to the runner.<\/p>\n
VJ’s Fitlock system provides an optimal fit by keeping the foot close to the arch. It also offers additional protection by protecting the arch from foot impacts.<\/p>\n
It is designed to be worn without insoles, but insoles will be shipped with the shoes.<\/p>\n
